All of the artwork is in and the maps are finished. The articles are edited and the QR codes generated. Over the next few days I will do layout and final edits. I'll submit the issue for printing on Friday, pick it up Saturday, staple and fold Sunday, then ship Monday.
It always feels good to be near the finish line. As usual, I'd like to give my thanks and gratitude to Jay Penn and Matthew Logan. Their contributions are invaluable.
In conclusion, KINGS WIN! KINGS WIN!
Awesome, that artwork is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Matt. I am friends with Jay on Facebook, so it's always neat to see photos of him working away at illustrations for the zine while he's enjoying a pint at the pub.
DeleteLooking good. When I saw that artwork, the first thing that popped into my head was Moldvay's Lords of Creation...
ReplyDeleteOh, man, I wish. I really wanted to roll out some LoC material, but my noodle just couldn't grok the system so well. I think it'd be an ideal candidate for a bit of a facelift and modernization.
DeleteI actually bought it back in the day, and gave it away years ago without ever having gotten a chance to play it. It was almost too open ended... my FLGS back then wouldn't carry any of the supplements, so it just languished.
DeleteCool game, but it needed an extra booklet or two on adapting material to make adventures. The gears were just too big...
Ha ha! When I heard the news, I wondered how you would note the occasion.
ReplyDeleteWe were out of our minds here when the Kings scored three goals on that major penalty. :)
DeleteJay's work is always great. LA winning a Stanley Cup, never saw that coming. Congrats to your Kings!
ReplyDeleteNo kidding, huh? How did an 8 seed shred the 1, 2, and 3 seeds to get to the Finals? What an insane run.
DeleteCongratulations on the Kings, Christian!
ReplyDeleteIssue #11 looks to have some interesting material.
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it. :)
DeleteCongrats on the Kings and the new issue!
ReplyDeleteYou've reminded me that I owe you a letter. :)
