The final cover art came in and it's a thing of beauty. Jay suggested auctioning the original off. I think that's a great idea, but one that we'll have to sit on until the zine develops a bit more of a following. Man, he did such an incredible job.
I did a minor re-write of an article. The more I read it, the more I hated it. I just didn't want it stinking up the issue. When I was publishing my first zine - Scrollworks - I would occasionally let a marginal article go through. Looking back, I really regret that. I'd rather mail an issue out late than publish something I wasn't 100% happy with.

ReplyDeleteThe hex vignette for the art looks fantastic. It might make a nice visual tradition to come back to (with different cover art) in future issues.
